What Exactly Is Eating Clean?

Above all else eating clean is based on the premise of eating foods in their natural form avoiding anything processed and/or “modified”.

According to Clean Eating Magazine, “The soul of clean eating is consuming food in its most natural state, or as close to it as possible.  It is not a diet; it’s a lifestyle approach to food and its preparation….”.

 

Once I began “eating clean” I naturally lost weight, felt much healthier and noticed a glow to my complexion.  In fact when I don’t “eat clean” I notice a big difference in how I feel and.  I just feel sluggish if I eat junk.  To that end I started cooking all of meals from all nature ingredients – reading every label to make sure I recognized what was in my food.  What I thought would be overwhelming and time consuming turned into a labor of love, a hobby and a passion.

In an effort to keep track of my tried and true recipes I started this website.  As time went on people would ask me for cleaner versions of their favorite foods and I started posting those here too.

    I can’t help my late parents (wish I’d known more 25 years ago!) but it’s not too late to help my husband & children. I’ve tried to be additive free for the last 12 years, but convenience foods crept in to our daily life. Not any more!
