Here’s my version of “Campbell’s” Clean Eating Bean with Bacon!! I absolutely love Campbell’s Bean with Bacon soup and recently had a craving. I went to the grocery and read the ingredients on the label and promptly put the can back on the shelf. I refuse to give up my favorites!!!

Ingredients
16 ounces navy beans, uncooked
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 cup onion, diced
1/2 cup carrots, diced
1/4 cup celery, diced
6 ounces tomato paste
pepper, to taste
pinch thyme
1 bay leaf
12 cups water
1 teaspoon beef base
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
red pepper flakes, to taste
Instructions
Saute garlic and onions in olive oil until onions become translucent.
Add carrots and celery. Cook until they soften.
Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
Turn down heat and cook until the beans are soft, about 6 hours. Add water as need.
Servings: 8
